Meet Nan McClure, President of our Club.  Nan works as a Geographic Specialist and lives in Charlotte, NC.  She joined the GCSSC in 2007 and was elected President for 2010 after Melissa decided it was time for a break!  Besides working with her dogs, Nan enjoys judging horse shows and sewing on the side.   Nan owns 3 Shelties named Boomer, Biz, and Merry, all of which came from Melissa Williams of Misty Mt Shelties. 

Nan was chairperson for the 2009 Sheltie Specialty show.  She did an excellent job and has bravely agreed to to take on the task this year as well!  She also helps us by participating with her dogs in agility demonstrations at events like the Rural Hill Sheepdog Trials and the Scottish Festival.

Misty Mt Lower the Boom NA, NAJ, NF, OA, OAJ, CGC (Boomer)

Boomer is a Blue Merle Color Headed White Sheltie.  He is just 2 years old and already has several titles to his name.  He is such a sweet, handsome boy with his unique coloring and outstanding temperament.  Boomer is always a big hit at agility demos where he gets lots of attention and nice compliments!

Besides agility, Boomer and Nan are looking forward to starting Rally Obedience classes.  We know he'll do great; he's such a smart boy!

(Biz)

This is "Biz", Nan's other accomplished agility star.  Biz is 2 years old, and is a happy, energetic boy who never meets a stranger.  He is super quick and agile...it's likely he has what it takes to become a MACH someday!

 Lorac's Merry Widow (Merry)

Merry is Nan's official bed dog/couch potato.  She is 10 years old and affectionately titled "BDE", standing for "Bed Dog Excellent".  Merry enjoys watching dog shows on TV and working toward acheiving her "Bed Dog" Championship.  When guests visit, she is nice enough to share her sofa with them...of course with plenty of petting in return.
